With their debut album “Documents” being the first Dutch hiphop album to achieve the gold status, Postmen is the most successful Dutch hiphop act of all time. The group was formed back in 1998 with frontman Remon Stotijn a.k.a Postman, singer/mc Michael Parkinson a.k.a Shyrock and drummer/ dj Gus Bear a.k.a G-Boah. From 1998 – 2003 Postmen rocked the crowds throughout Europe with their infectious combination of hiphop and reggae music. During this period they won various Dutch music awards such as ‘De Zilveren Harp’ ‘De Popprijs’ and the ‘Gouden Greep Lifetime Achievement Award’.
Subsequently to their critically acclaimed album “Documents”, the band released two more albums, Revival (2001) and Era (2003). After the tour for “Era”, the three members of Postmen decided to pursue their solo careers and the group had a brief split. After several solo albums and music projects Postman and Alyssa Stotijn decided to join forces again as Postmen in March 2012. As we speak they are back in the studio to create new material for this summer and they are preparing to go out on stage and give the crowds the energetic and raw performances their fans love.
